Stoke Much Playlists on Apple Music

Music. If you take it how it’s given then it’s just another product, not too different from chips. There’s a flavor for everyone, and everyone has them. But, for some of us, music is much more than a product; It’s a mantra, a message, and an essential means of self actualization. Think of it like this: music is one of the most basic and essential methods for addressing how we feel, how we want to feel, and the means to close the distance between the two. So, when we choose to put on a song, we are also choosing who we want to be, and how we want to affect the world around us.

These three playlists are all tools for being and changing. You’ll find some redundancy across playlists, but each playlist is its own thing. They are all updated irregularly, but frequently. For the next few weeks we’ll be sharing some short articles about some of these songs and their relation to our contemporary society. If there’s anything specific that you’d like to hear about just let us know, and we’ll do our best to provide an informative response.

Good Tunes

This is the master playlist. A running compilation of good songs with no distinctions other than the quality of elated listening. This is music for a really long road trip. As of right now, if you were to stretch this playlist out from end to end, it would cover the distance from Los Angeles, California to Vancouver, British Columbia. So, if you just use it for cross-town commutes, subway hauls, and night drives it will be a while before you get to everything. Some stuff you’ll know, and some stuff you won’t. But everything in here is a selection from an artist with a lot more to offer.

Chill Down Dogs

If you drive in Los Angeles, or if you’re in a setting where you can use music to de-stress, then this one goes out to you. The type of chill that you’ll find in here varies, but it’s all genuine. This one is currently 4 hours long, which will cover a one way commute to hell any way you slice it. Whether you’re freelancing and going two counties down for a job, committed to the same company even after the relocation and pushing 2.5 hours each way, a mom on a mission to discover all the cities secrets, or anyone else: this is enough music to get you there, and back safely. Just remember: how you feel is always up to you, and you may not be able to affect the idiots who share the road with you, but you can avoid them while you ignore to relaxing sounds.

Get Right Right Now

This is a playlist for those of us who indulge in the finer side of life: laughter, and giddiness. Some frown upon it, but over here we recognize the essential nature of vulnerability and humor. Being willing to give yourself over to the A-Team theme is a clear sign that you are prepared to have good time, and the rewards are undoubtedly immediate. At 2 hours and 44 minutes–currently–this dose of music is more than enough to prep you for what lies ahead. Whether the destination is near or far this will ensure that you are delivered in an optimal state for starting the party off right, and living your absolute god damn best life damnit.
